It is possible to contract the HIV virus from oral sex if you have a small cut, ulcer or tear in your mouth. A way around this is for men to wear condoms (nice flavoured ones for oral) and women to use dental dams (flat, square pieces of latex similar to condom material). These are not only for HIV protection but protect you against all kinds of STDs.
